Cenit College’s Involvement

Cenit College has one of the largest Contracted Training Departments in Ireland, providing tutoring at QQI (Levels 4 to 6), City & Guilds, Professional Qualifications and Education and Training Boards (ETB’s).

Cenit College predominantly works in the domains of IT, Manufacturing, Business, Hospitality, Tourism and Healthcare.

Our Examination and Curriculum Development Unit within the Contracted Training Department, develops and submits assessments for validation at QQI Levels 4 to 6, along with offering academic support and advice to our 70+ tutoring staff.

Cenit College continues to pioneer new programmes, supported by the relevant ETB.

We recently pioneered:

  • Manufacturing – This 9 month QQI Level 6 Major Maintenance Technician award provides hands on experience for budding manufacturing technicians. This programme runs in conjunction with the Intel Corporation, Leixslip, Co. Kildare and FIT/KWETB.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountants) – Cenit College, in conjunction with Athlone Training Centre and the professional accountancy body CPA Ireland, developed a yearlong accountancy programme with classroom and practical experience to certify students with a Formation 1 Level qualification. This programme has subsequently been delivered in other ETB’s around Ireland.

SOLAS eCollege offers market-led courses with technical and eTutor support; the software and support learners require to achieve industry-recognised qualifications and certification. As technology has advanced, SOLAS eCollege has continually evolved so that it remains relevant to learners and industries.

In 2015 Cenit College was awarded the contract to become the primary institution responsible for the management of eTutoring and related support services. The current Cenit eCollege team, consisting of 25+ experts in their field currently support c. 5,000 learners.

Our team deliver the JobPath Programme in partnership with Seetec Employment & Skills Ireland and the Department of  Employment Affairs & Social Protection (DEASP) in both North Kildare (Maynooth) and North Offaly (Edenderry).

JobPath is an employment support programme aimed at helping the long-term unemployed back into full-time sustainable employment or self-employment.

Our team of Employment Advisors offer intensive individual support and guidance through workshops, training, job search, CV Preparation and interview skills. They also assist clients on identifying barriers to securing employment and solutions to overcome these barriers.  In addition, in-work support is provided for a further 12 months when clients have successfully found work to give them the best chance to transition back into work especially during those first few critical weeks.

Our team also has Employment Services Consultants who work closely with employers offering a dedicated recruitment service including pre-screening and initial training support in order to ensure the companies individual skills requirements and competencies are met.
